20/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - Official visit of Martin Schulz. President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz is visiting Switzerland on 21-22 March. In Bern on Thursday, Schulz will meet the Swiss authorities, including President of the Swiss Confederation Ueli Maurer, federal councillors Didier Burkhalter (foreign affairs) and Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf (finance), and the presidents of the two chambers of the Swiss Federal Assembly, Maya Graf (Swiss National Council, lower chamber) and Filipo Lombardi (Council of States, upper chamber). In Geneva on Friday, Schulz will visit the offices of UN organisations - including the ILO, the WTO and the High Commissioner for Human Rights. He will then wind up his visit with a speech to the Jean Monnet foundation in Lausanne on Friday afternoon. (EH/transl.fl)
