Brussels, 18/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 18 March, the European Commission proposed to amend the EU's budget for 2013, through an amending budget, so as to take into account the impact of Croatia's forthcoming accession to the EU. The additional amounts required are €655.1 million in commitments (0.4% of the 2013 budget) and €374 million (0.3%) in payments. These amounts correspond to the provisions of the accession treaty signed between the EU and Croatia.
