Brussels, 14/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - French President François Hollande takes the view that the resolution voted on Wednesday by the European Parliament on the multiannual financial framework 2014-2020 is a “good base” for discussion in order to reach an agreement with the European Council.
On Thursday 14 March, upon arriving at the Spring European Council, Hollande said (our translation): “The European Parliament voted a resolution allowing dialogue to begin between the European Council, that has taken a position on the multiannual financial framework for the coming years, and the European Parliament that wants to see a number of conditions complied with. This means total flexibility in the use of funding and also a revision clause underway. I believe that this is a good basis on which to find an agreement. France will ensure this compromise can be found”. (MB/transl.jl)
