Creation of European venture capital fund

Brussels, 12/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - Midday Tuesday, the European Parliament in Strasbourg adopted new measures to allow the creation of European Venture Capital Funds, validating a proposal for a regulation put forward in December 2011 by Commissioner Michel Barnier. The proposal for a regulation sets in place a legal framework to regulate the possibility for various investment funds to become “European Venture Capital Funds”, and be awarded the appropriate EU passport.
