21/12/2012 (Agence Europe) - €84.8 million to support reforms. On Friday 21 December, the European Union announced its decision to grant €84.8 million to Bosnia-Herzegovina to support the country's reforms - in particular, increasing the efficiency of the judiciary, strengthening the parliaments, improving the transport sector, and better including vulnerable groups. The funding should also contribute to strengthening the fight against organised crime, terrorism and corruption. In addition, it will support the alignment of Bosnian legislation with that of the EU. The funding comes under the 2012 annual programme of the instrument for pre-accession assistance. (CG/transl.fl)
