The Council reached a political agreement on Tuesday 18 December on 2013 quotas in the Black Sea, which are of interest to Romania and Bulgaria: continued turbot TAC at 86.4 tonnes (the Commission had suggested -15%), and maintaining sprat TAC at 11,475 tonnes. The Council undertakes to step up controls initiated in cooperation with third countries concerned (Russia and Turkey). (LC/transl.jl)
