11/12/2012 (Agence Europe) - Ashton welcomes opening of two crossing points. On Monday 10 December, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton welcomed the opening of two crossing points between Kosovo and Serbia the same day. Highlighting that Belgrade and Pristina are constructively engaged in the process of dialogue, Ashton said that tangible results were being yielded - in the implementation of the agreement on integrated border management with these two crossing points (see EUROPE 10745). She said it was a clear signal of the serious engagement of the two parties for the dialogue and she welcomed the endeavours that they had made for this to happen - in difficult circumstances. She added that the implementation shows what the parties are capable of achieving. She also congratulated the EULEX mission on the help that it was bringing to the two parties. Two other openings are planned for 31 December. (CG/transl.fl)
