Brussels, 03/10/2012 (Agence Europe) - Robert Goebbels (PES, Luxembourg) has expressed surprise at the campaign by his French counterparts, Sylvie Goulard (ADLE) and Rachida Dati (EPP) to stop the governor of Luxembourg's Central Bank, Yves Mersch, from joining the European Central Bank's Executive Board over a question of gender rather than ability (see EUROPE 10698).
