On Friday 28 September 2012, the European Commission cleared the planned acquisition of British dairy cooperative Milk Link by its Scandinavian rival Food, on condition that it sells Milk Link's milk drink and UHT milk businesses, including the trademarks and sole UHT processing plant (in Devon, UK) in order to prevent significant obstacles to competition on the UK's UHT market.
