28/09/2012 (Agence Europe) - Ports Riviera Cooperation. On 6 September 2012, the cross-border Franco-Italian programme Ports Riviera Cooperation drew up a balance sheet of positive outcomes since the project launch in June 2011. Ports Riviera Cooperation combines institutional and economic players from both countries, 35 French ports and 13 Italian ports. The programme achieved positive outcomes in three areas - on the economic front, by allowing yacht and pleasure boat owners to reserve moorings in ports; environmentally, by giving ports green labels; and in terms of training to alleviate the shortage of small nautical businesses in both France and Italy. The programme's fudning is just under €4 million, some of which is funding from the European Regional Development Fund and the European Territorial Cooperation Fund. (MD/transl.fl)
