19/09/2012 (Agence Europe) - What about motorcyclists in Mobility Week? Motorcyclists are laying into Mobility Week, from which they feel they are unjustly being excluded. The Federation of European Motorcyclists Associations (FEMA) subverted the current 2012 Mobility Week slogan, “Moving in the Right Direction” to “moving in the wrong direction”. Although the aim of Mobility Week is to “introduce and promote sustainable transport measures and invite citizens to try alternatives to car use”, FEMA argues that this alternative already exists in the form of two-wheeled engines. The Federation points out that these vehicles make transport more efficient by significantly helping to cut the number of traffic jams and emissions of pollutants. (MD/trans/fl)
