Brussels, 04/09/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 3 September the European Commission launched the 2012 edition of the “Juvenes translatores” competition. The competition has existed for six years and is open to all pupils in the European Union who translate, and who were born in 1995. More than 750 schools can take part and two to five pupils per school can apply until the deadline (20 October). The selected subject for the translation tests this year is solidarity between generations. Indeed 2012 is the year of solidarity between generations. The competition increased in popularity last year with more than 3,000 pupils registering. At the end of the competition, the European Commission will select one winner per country. The winners will then be invited to receive their prize in April 2013. (IL/transl.fl)
