14/05/2012 (Agence Europe) - Boosting investment in the four countries covered by “Deauville agreement”. A meeting involving the Union for the Mediterranean, represented by its Deputy Secretary General, Lino Cardarelli, from Italy, as well as the OECD, UNDP and the body in charge of implementing the G8's Deauville Partnership, took place in Cairo last week. The aim of the meeting was to begin the updating of the action plan to improve climate investment in the four countries covered by the Deauville Agreement (Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan). An appeal was launched to enhance the opening up, transparency and predictability of climate investment in these countries. The private sector was represented by the Euro-Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce (ASCAME) and the OECD's Business Advisory Committee. (FB/transl.fl)
