EP civil liberties committee delays Schengen evaluation vote

Brussels, 09/02/2012 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament (EP) civil liberties committee decided on Thursday 9 February to delay voting on the report by Carlos Coelho on the Schengen evaluation mechanism, amended by a Commission proposal last September. Coelho said that the Danish Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers had sent him a letter indicating that discussions with the Council might be re-opened.
