Strasbourg, 17/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 17 January, the European Commission announced that Croatia and Slovenia had agreed on the nomination of the president and two members the arbitration court and the list established by the European Commission to resolve their common border dispute. European Commissioner, Stefan Füle stated that, “This common agreement is a very welcome signal for the positive development of the good neighbourly relations between the two countries as well as for the Western Balkans regions showing that even difficult issues can be best solved by means of dialogue and cooperation”, Commissioner Füle said. In addition to two members representing each country, Croatia and Slovenia agreed on the appointment of Gilbert Guillaume as the president of the court of arbitration, as well as Bruno Simma and Vaughan Lowe.
