ETS - windfall for US companies and airports outside EU, but not for consumers

Brussels, 11/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - An American study has set the cat among the pigeons by stating that the European carbon emissions trading system (ETS), which has been applied to aviation since 1 January of this year, may generate additional revenue for American airlines. This revenue could possibly be as high as $2.6 billion, plus removing the airlines' line of argument against the environmental tax.
