Brussels, 10/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - Improvement in the safety of commercial flights was modest last year around the world, with 45 deadly accidents in 2011, as opposed to 46 in 2010 according to information collected by the European Air Safety Agency (EASA). Europe is still doing well with very high safety for commercial flights. European regions that are not part of the EASA, along with Africa, have the worst accident record, with 138 and 87 deaths respectively last year.
