In view of the need for a full, fair response to the global challenge of commodity management, the EU and Argentina will be examining how to encourage greater awareness at global level of the importance of commodities for industry, explained EU Industry Commissioner Antonio Tajani and his Argentine counterpart, Debora Giorgi, during the commissioner's visit to the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, on 17 December. The EU has everything to gain from greater dialogue and cooperation with a country so rich in raw materials, whether fuel, iron, zinc, uranium, copper, manganese, silver or lead. (EH/transl.fl)
