The European Commission granted clearance on Monday 5 December to the proposed acquisition by which Gazprom Schweiz of Switzerland, which is controlled by Gazprom Export LLC of the Russian Federation, itself controlled by the Open Joint Stock Company Gazprom of the Russian Federation, will purchase the remaining 50% share in Promgas (Italy) from ENI SpA of Italy.
