Brussels, 05/12/2011 (Agence Europe) - From Monday 5 December until Thursday 8 December, the European Parliament will be playing host to young European, Israeli and Palestinian political leaders. They will be discussing the Arab Spring and social struggles throughout the world. The president of the Parliament explained that the goal of this meeting is to help future leaders engage in open dialogue and make progress towards peace in the Middle East. “Changing mindsets, through dialogue and open discussions, is a crucial step in bringing about a better understanding among all sides. It is a crucial step on the path to reconciliation and peace - a path we have learned to walk in Europe”, explained Jerzy Buzek. He added: “I am deeply convinced that with these seminars, the European Parliament is making a small but very important contribution to advancing a lasting peace in the Middle East.” (CG/transl.fl)
