11/10/2011 (Agence Europe) - International Competition Network (ICN) Cartel Workshop. From 10-13 October, in Bruges, the European Commission is hosting the ICN Cartel Workshop 2011 which, this year, will be on the theme “enhancing the effectiveness of the fight against cartels”. The event will be attended by 230 competition law enforcers, lawyers, prosecutors, economists and academics from around the world. It provides for an open exchange of views, experiences and know-how among competition experts and answers needs of younger competition agencies. The workshop focuses on international and regional cooperation, coordination of investigatory measures, information sharing among competition agencies, bid-rigging, leniency and alternative case resolution methods both in administrative and criminal sanction regimes.
