Brussels, 03/10/2011 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a €100 million loan to fund projects in the education and training sector in Germany. The money is intended for small and medium-sized enterprises involved in projects such as playschools, schools and vocational training. The EIB and Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen signed the loan contract in Luxembourg on 29 September.
This framework loan will finance projects which meet the “knowledge economy” criterion, that is, investment in areas such as education and training, and research, development and innovation projects. (LC/transl.rt)
