Brussels, 28/07/2011 (Agence Europe) - At the meeting of the EU Management Committee on Thursday 28 July, the European Commission accepted bids for importing 152,208 tonnes of sugar into the EU at reduced import duties. This move was agreed alongside other measures to ensure the fluidity of the Community sugar market. The 152,208 tonnes come in addition to the 64,364 tonnes accepted at the Management Committee meeting of 14 July.
