Brussels, 23/06/2011 (Agence Europe) - The draft energy efficiency directive put on the table by the European Commission on Wednesday 22 June has left the European Parliament and pressure groups, NGOs and industrial associations perplexed. Many of them described the text as not enough to improve energy efficiency by 20% before 2020 and argued in favour of a binding energy savings objective.
