21/06/2011 (Agence Europe) - US complaint against aid for Airbus: EU to implement WTO decisions. The EU announced at the meeting of the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) on 17 June that it intended to implement the WTO recommendations and rulings on the complaint lodged by the US against public aid for the European aircraft manufacturer (DS 316) so that it complies with its WTO obligations and within the time limit set out in the Subsidies and Countervailing Measures Agreement. The DSB adopted the reports of the special panel and the appeals body on DS 316 on 1st June. On 19 May, the appeals body partly annulled the ruling of the DSB handed down in June 2010 (see EUROPE 10382). (E.H./transl.rt)
