On Thursday 26 May 2011, the EU Management Committee decided to sell 15,384 tonnes of stockpiled barley on the EU market, namely barley from 'intervention stocks' in Germany (4.004 tonnes), Finland (3,989 tonnes), Sweden (2,391 tonnes) and the United Kingdom (5,000 tonnes), the lowest price of which ranges from 187.28 euros/tonne in the UK to 196.22 euros/tonne in Germany.
