The European Commission announced on Tuesday 3 May, that the names of two agricultural and food products were being added to the list of Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indications (PGI). These are Finnish smoked reindeer meat “Lapin Poron kylmäsavuliha” (PDO) and, from Greece, the “Firiki Piliou” apple (PDO). The two names will now join the list of over 1,000 products already protected....
