11/04/2011 (Agence Europe) - Mergers: OCTM/EDF Trading Logistics and SEA-Invest. On Monday 11 April, the European Commission gave the go-ahead for the sale of joint control, in the form of share ownership, of the newly formed company Opérateur du Terminal Charbonnier de Montoir (OTCM) by EDF Trading Logistics (EDFT-L, France) and Sea Invest Montoir (SIM, France). OTCM will run the “Terminal Charbonnier de Montoir” and related businesses. EDTF-L is a subsidiary of EDTF specialising in logistics for dry products and fuel oil and is itself a subsidiary of EDF. SIM carries out maintenance in the Loire estuary and is a subsidiary of Belgium's SEA-Invest (maritime logistics). The deal was notified on 10 March 2011 and was examined using the simplified procedure because the Commission said it would not damage competition in the EEA. (F.G./transl.fl)
