The six major banks in the US made gross profits of $51.1 billion in 2010. With $8 .4 billion, Goldman Sachs has now been knocked off its first-place perch. JP Morgan Chase is now at the top with net profits of $17.4 billion. Just behind are Wells Fargo ($12.4 billion) and Citigroup ($10.6 billion). (I.L./transl.fl)
