25/02/2011 (Agence Europe) - Council of Ministers debate on European PNR postponed. The EU home affairs ministers' talks of Thursday 24 February on the European PNR and assessment of the TFTP (Swift) programme have been postponed to an unspecified later date because the ministers did not have time to consider them. The Commission is due to submit to the ministers its draft legislation on the transfer of European air passengers' personal information to non-EU countries (published on 2 February, see EUROPE 10307) and to make an initial assessment of the TFTP programme to monitor the funding of terrorism that came into force in August 2010, following an assessment carried out together with the United States.
