European Jews urge Hungary to remain vigilant

Brussels, 26/01/2011 (Agence Europe) - The European Jewish Congress (EJC) is calling on Hungary to use its presidency of the Council of the EU to tackle the far right and anti-semitism in Europe. After a meeting with the Hungarian prime minister, Viktor Orbán, the chair of EJC, Moshe Kantor, said that the EJC was aware of how attached Hungary and its prime minister are to democracy and called on the country to repress any form of anti-semitism in Hungary and strengthen existing legislation...
