23/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - Croatia signs up to pan-European emergency call system. On 20 December, Croatia signed the eCall Memorandum of Understanding. eCall enables someone involved in a car crash to automatically dial 112 and be connected to the nearest emergency centre. The system notifies the accident and transmits its exact location. Croatia is the 24th country to sing the memorandum of understanding. (I.L./transl.rt)
