23/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - Loan for SMEs in St Kitts and Nevis. The European Investment Bank has just granted a USD 8 million line of credit to the Development Bank of Saint Kitts and Nevis to help it develop its loans programme for small and medium-sized businesses. The operation, the fourth of its kind seeks to support the development and expansion of the small and medium-sized businesses of St Kitts and Nevis to encourage growth, employment, competitiveness and economic diversification, and also to develop the country's infrastructure. The EIB package will help projects in the manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, infrastructure, energy (especially renewable energy and energy efficiency), health, education and tourism sectors.
