On Wednesday 24 November, the European Investment Bank (EIB) granted a loan of €300 million to Terna S.p.A., which owns the high tension electricity grid in Italy, to finance a four-year investment programme. The loan will help improve the system to ensure that the safety and efficiency standards required for the transmission and distribution of electricity are met. (O.L./transl.rt)
