Debate may resume on mackerel agreement

Brussels, 02/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - The second round of talks on setting up a management plan for mackerel fishing in the waters of the North-East Atlantic resulted in failure on Thursday 28 October (EUROPE 10237). No date has been set for a third series of talks with a view to reaching an agreement on this tricky question between the EU, the Faroe Islands and Iceland, but some feel such talks could be held during the next meeting of the North-East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC)...
