11/10/2010 (Agence Europe) - Catherine Ashton has firmly condemned the deadly attack on Saturday 9 October against the mosque in Takhar, Afghanistan, in which the governor of Kunduz, Mohammad Omar, and several worshippers died. “Such attacks only strengthen the resolve of the EU and international community at large to continue with work with the Afghan people towards a more secure and prosperous future”, the EU high representative for foreign affairs said.
