Brussels, 30/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - The Danish scheme for resolving bank failings was authorised by the European Commission on Thursday 30 September. The Commission took the view that the scheme was compatible with EU rules allowing aid to remedy serious disturbances in the economy of a member state. In particular, the measure is limited in time and scope, ensures adequate burden-sharing and contains safeguards to avoid undue distortions of competition.
