Successful “sweep” on online selling of electronic goods - Online sales of tickets for cultural and sporting events also targeted

Brussels, 16/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - In the European Union, 84% of websites selling current electronic goods such as digital cameras, personal music players and mobile phones now comply with European legislation, compared to just 44% in May 2009. This is the result of a campaign targeting unfair or misleading practices by operators paying little heed to consumers' rights guaranteed under EU law (EUROPE 9973).
