08/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Tuesday 7 September, the European Parliament approved without modifications the position of the Council on the draft rectifying budget 2/2010 (EUROPE 10188). It concerns just one modification on the table of staff members (to allow the European Commission to recruit the staff it needs) of BEREC (Office of the Body of the European Regulators for Electronic Communications). The examination of the main part of this rectifying budget, in other words the impact of the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty on the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the Committee of the Regions (CoR) has been postponed: €10.5 million in expenditure and increase in staffing levels by 59 posts (22 for the EESC and 37 for the CoR).
