Prospect of EU Globalisation Fund intervention in favour of workers of Netherlands semiconductors sector

Brussels, 31/08/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 31 August, the European Commission approved an application from the Netherlands for assistance from the EU Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF). If the application is approved, the €1,809,434 requested will help 512 workers made redundant by NXP Semiconductors Netherlands BV back into employment.
