Parliament to vote on EEAS on 8 July

Brussels, 02/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - The Parliament has been working overtime to allow Catherine Ashton to make headway in setting up the European External Action Service (EEAS). The foreign affairs committee is to vote on Tuesday 6 July on the report by Elmar Brok (EPP), a report to be amended to include all the elements of the political agreement that Parliament rapporteurs concluded with Ashton, the Commission and Council on 21 June, in Madrid (see full text in EUROPE/Documents N. 2536...
