Brussels, 07/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - In Rome on Monday 7 June, European International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva and Executive Director of the World Food Program (WFP) Josette Sheeran announced the largest funding agreement between the European Commission and the WFP this year. The €46 million agreement will be used to provide immediate food assistance for the populations in Darfur and Southern Sudan.
