Court reduces fines imposed on IMI and Chalkor for involvement in copper plumbing tube cartel

Brussels, 20/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 19 May, the General Court delivered rulings in different cases relating to the creation of a copper plumbing tube cartel for which the Commission imposed fines totalling €222.3 million on seven companies in September 2004. Six appealed to the Court to have the fines annulled or reduced.

In these judgments, the Court upheld the fines imposed on four firms (Wieland-Werke €27.84 million, Boliden €32.6 million, Outokumpu €36.14...
