Commission more upbeat about growth but concerned about deficits

Brussels, 05/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - In the current context, the European Commission's latest economic forecasts are almost a reason to be cheerful. In his presentation to the press of the spring economic forecasts, Olli Rehn stated that “the improved prospects for economic growth this year are good news for Europe”. With a quarter of a percentage point more than for the autumn forecasts, the figures presented on Wednesday 5 May by the Commissioner are certainly a little more upbeat...
