EP ideas on non-EU hedge funds is in tune with Council of Ministers' approach, according to Gauzès

Brussels, 04/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - Speaking on Monday 4 May, EP rapporteur on the draft directive on hedge funds and alternative investment funds, Jean-Paul Gauzès (EPP, France), said that if the European Parliament had stuck with the idea of equivalence mooted by the European Commission, it would have meant MEPs taking a different approach from that of the member states.
