Brussels, 20/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of a conference held in Marseilles on Friday 16 April, the European Investment Bank (EIB), World Bank, European Commission (Médibtikar programme) and the Town of Marseilles gave an avant-première presentation of the “Guidebook” on Mediterranean technopoles or science parks, the result of a joint effort. The guidebook aims to help decision-makers to plan and manage a science park so that this becomes a major attraction and economic asset for the countries concerned, minimising costs linked to institutional constraints which previously put a brake on cooperation between different economic stakeholders. The guide is an innovative tool. According to the EIB, it is the cornerstone for the predominant role that innovation must play in the Mediterranean.
