Consultation on implications of genetic selection in chickens

Brussels, 01/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - On 29 March, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) launched further online consultation on the welfare aspects of genetic selection in chickens raised specifically for meat production. The consultation is open until 12 April 2010. Observations will allow EFSA specialists in animal health and welfare to formulate two scientific opinions, commissioned by the European Commission.
