Information technology brings new solutions to long term viability problems of national health systems, health ministers say in Barcelona

Brussels, 16/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 15 March, at the “eHealth” conference in Barcelona, EU health ministers signed an institutional declaration acknowledging the strategic value of “online health” for the development of greater European cohesion. Commissioner Neelie Kroes, who is responsible for the digital agenda, described signing of the declaration as “crucial” in order to promote application of digital health.
