08/02/2010 (Agence Europe) -Approving a request by the EPP Group, the European Parliament has decided to add declarations of the Council and the Commission, followed by a debate, on the financial difficulties faced by a number of member countries of the eurozone to the agenda of its first February session. On behalf of the S&D Group, Austria's Johannes Swoboda asked for the social consequences of the financial crisis to be included in the debate, a request that was granted. This subject will be included on the agenda of Tuesday 9 February, as the first point of the afternoon session, after the vote on the new European Commission. (L.G./transl.fl)
