Hans-Gert Pöttering says EU has to deal with regulating the financial industry, climate change, cultural dialogue and enlargement

Brussels, 05/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - In a speech at the Cercle Gaulois in Brussels on Thursday 5 February, speaking in his new post as chair of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (foundation), Hans Gert Pöttering pointed out that the policies upon which the CDU is based (the German political party of which he is a member) follow on from the tradition of the fathers of EU unification and the values upon which the EU is based (he mentioned peace, democracy, solidarity and subsidiarity).
